The Western Bird Banding Association (WBBA) is a registered tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation (EIN 51-0189732). We rely upon memberships and contributions from people who care about bird populations to continue & expand our work in studying, monitoring, and conserving birds & their habitats.

As a suggestion - though every amount helps - $50 - $100 or more would help make great strides on any of the following ways that donations are used to support WBBA's mission:
>> To support publishing scientific articles in North American Bird Bander - our quarterly journal. Ongoing dues are needed to pay for the editing and printing costs of NABB.

>> Scholarships for students that use bird banding in their studies. WBBA receives more worthy applications that we can fund, unfortunately. Donations help expand the amount or grants & scholarships we can offer for avian research.

>> Travel support for students - especially from Latin America - to attend our Annual Meetings. This allows early-career ornithologists to network with fellow students, researchers, mentors and advisors to learn about and discuss research. This kind of academic networking is integral to advancing science as a whole!
